Next...the reason for all of this. You all know me and know that I've struggled with my weight for years. I've had a few successes, but mostly failures. The failures do more to your psyche than the successes, but that could just be me:) I was diagnosed with Type-2 Diabetes in the Summer of 2009. At first I was very diligent in taking care of myself...ate right, took my meds, checked my sugar levels...all by-the-book. Not sure when it happened exactly, but I started slacking off...think I got too cocky about how quickly I turned my numbers around. For anyone that doesn't know, your blood sugar number should be about 6. When I was diagnosed, I was a 10...not good. Within 6 months, I had got my number to 6.2 and lost 35 lbs. My Dr was so happy and excited and felt great about it. So did I. Too, good. I guess I felt like I wasn't a Diabetic anymore...started slipping back into the old routine...quick, easy, greasy...not a good recipe, unless your recipe is for Disaster. So, from then 'til now, I haven't really done much to change anything. I'm not on meds anymore...no insurance right now, so it's just the right time for this to happen. The right time for it to actually take this time....for it to work.
I want to send a special shout-out to my friend Kelby Bagwell. I've known Kelby since we were in a Summer program together back in high school...years ago! He recently became a distributor for Herbalife. Go to his blog here to see his before and after pics of his 97 lb+ weight loss: Kelby's Blog He has been quite an inspiration these past months. He's one of my biggest cheerleaders in this (well, not so big anymore) :)
Thanks to everyone else who is in my corner...you know who you are:)
So, with no further ado, welcome. Please feel free to send any suggestions, comments, pics, stories to me. I want your input. This blog isn't just about me...you all are a part of my life in some way, so it's about us:)

Love it, and you my dear friend!!! Miss you so much.
